JIPS will not overlap with IPCMC, says Liew
Description
Regarding the role of the Integrity and Standard Compliance Department (JIPS), Minister in the Prime Minister's Department in charge of law Datuk Liew Vui Keong on Friday said that the responsibilities of the department and Independent Police Complaints and Misconduct Commission (IPCMC) would not overlap.
Liew added that JIPS will deal with the disciplinary action not in the purview of IPCMC such as tardiness and other matters that can be handled by the police internally.
