The musician’s most iconic album - Songs You Know By Heart - officially reached Top 10 status on the charts this week. Billboard also estimates that since the album was released in 1985, it has sold more than eight million copies in the United States alone. The album’s surge in the charts follows the unfortunate passing of Buffett - whose songs celebrated his laid-back lifestyle, inspired legions of devoted “Parrotheads”, spawned a lucrative business empire – and established dare we say the most iconic restaurant in Time Square.
