Jessica Holt - Confusion

Freedom is my middle name
Never staying in one place
Not running the rats race
Or a horse no one can ever tame

But after all of this running around,
Always meeting someone new
People say its time to “subdue”,
“Settle down”, fear commences with this sound

Confusion sets in
What to do? Where do I turn?
What do I want? The questions burn
I don’t know, is the answer from within

To settle down or fly free,
Should I clip the bird’s wings?
What a dilemma this question brings
Freedom is acceptable to a certain degree

Well no answers found; maybe someday
It will be clear; I will find one place to stay.
