Jessica Clark - And Now?

I am painting my fingernails, toenails, dark red
curling my hair in the late afternoon
looking in the refridgerator with a black tanktop
and no panties.
And now?
She asked me once in a mood the shape of this
face his face her room that she never let
anyone in.

The milk carton has lipstick prints on the
edge but my mouth is dry
naked teeth
my words are bare.
