we kept on with the top down
barreling over an unobtrusive landscape
absence of trees screaming by

loud air whips my forehead
my hair follows wildly behind us as
we surf through open time

the sunset sends fiery shadows
but i see you in blues and gray

and we keep on through the night
the moon, a fuzzy peach in the endless sky,
casts a glow across your face

I catch your eye get chills
but the air is warm and dry
and this night has so much to find

so sing yourself to me
