I tried so hard to be perfect
Perfect in every way
So hard I tried
I tried everyday

You said I wasn’t good
NO not good ENOUGH
But your words taught me
YES taught me to be TOUGH

Every time I cried
Cried myself to SLEEP
I would fall in the hole
The hole that was so DEEP

So many times I thought
Thought of taking my LIFE
So many times I thought
Thought of using the KNIFE

One day it hit me
Hit me in the face
That there was a better
Far better place

I left the HURT
The hurt and PIAN
And told my self never
Never to go back there AGAIN!
