Jennifer Petty - Facing Fears

For a while
All I wanted to do
Was lose myself.
I just wanted some way
To escape my life
Along with all of its problems.

So I got spun for 3 years.

But the more I tried to run away
The more my problems grew
Until they were always there
Banging on my door
And no amount
Of dope
Would make them disappear

I realize that now I have
To face them
All this time
I was only postponing
The inevitable.
