I don't want to close my eyes
Sleep's luring song fails to enchant tonight
Fury flurries about my thoughts
And covers over the dusting
Of the Sandman's sleeping salts
Night's embrace has become pinched and confining
Poke another hole in the sky
So I can breathe
Snap all ties with the Earth
Snag your life
On the jagged point of a star-
A soul ascending the heavens
Unburdened of body
And assisted by Grace
