You say there is a difference
Between lust, and love, and pain
You say there is a reason
That the world is full of shame
Your heart is on you sleeve
In such an unprotected way
And you form a welcome mat
With all the many words you say
But still you do not hear me-
For you voice echoes so loud
You do not understand
The words I do not say aloud.

They say you are my best friend
But I know that isn’t true
For how can you be a friend
When the only one you listen to it you.
