As my love's light wains away
My world slowly turns to an ashen grey
Only one offence did I unwillingly commit
When many times you have landed a much harder hit
I had no choice in what happened to me
But the blows you landed, you chose to be
My unconditional love for you allows forgiveness
But your pride is too strong to grant the same gifts
I love you so much, more than you could ever know
You know this to be true, but still you choose to go
In your absence my tears continue to fall
But in this new world there is no ground for them to hit at all
My world has changed since you have gone
It's dark and grey and barren and alone
Your loss greives me more than I can bear
I only long for you to still care
For you to place your gaze upon me
And see with naked eye what there is left to see
An empty shell of someone I once knew
When I look into the mirror there is now a different view
Where I once saw a woman filled with bliss
From the love we shared and the magic of your kiss
Now that world is broken and gone
The pieces of my shattered life disappear one by one
I struggle to grasp them as the blow away
The jagged shards leaving wounds that promise to stay
My tears are now mixed with blood
The sound of my broken heart is becoming a faint and irregular thud
All I want is for you to come back to my life
Before I am withered away from grief and strife
This was not what our life was supposed to be
Why is it that I'm the only one that can see
Save me from what I am compelled to do
Because you know that I cannot live without you........
