Jeffrey Tambor is Leaving 'Transparent'

Jeffrey Tambor is leaving Transparent.

That’s right, the 73-year-old said he is choosing not to return to next season due to the political atmosphere on set.

He reportedly told Deadline.com that playing Maura Pfefferman has been one of the greatest privileges and creative experiences of his life… but what has become clear over the past weeks however, is that this is no longer the job he signed up for four years ago. He added that given the politicized atmosphere that seems to have affected their set, he doesn’t see how he can return.

Now keep in mind that just a few weeks before, Jeffrey was hit with sexual harassment allegations from an actress that accused him of pressing his body against hers in an aggressive manner while working on the show.

Tambor later apologized after the news broke, saying that he has deep regrets in any actions of his were ever misinterpreted by anyone.

Tambor was an Emmy for his work on Transparent in 2016.
