Description
Yawn, so many stupid TV and radio
Nutcases going on about devils and evil numbers
Numerologists raving about combinations
Feminists talking about how 666 has something to do with women
Mothers fearing their new born is Satan
The Omen re-released to make money out of superstition
“it is the number of a man”
Who is this beast?
Gosh, the first beast has seven heads –
Strangely it would look a bit like the hills of Rome
And the second beast – two horns,
Just like the crown of an emperor.
And how would they have written 666?
Using Hebrew letters the name Caeser Nero
Adds up to 666.
All this crap is just politics –
Rome and the emperor are the enemy
I think of all those poor rebellious teenagers
Throughout the years scrawling 666 on toilet doors
Cutting it into their hands with blunt pocket knives
If only Nero knew what a misguided fan club he would have
He would fiddle and laugh while common sense burnt.
And poor old St John – beware of politicians
Becomes some sort of terror campaign for the stupid
He did say “anyone who is clever”
Sadly in the 21st century that is so very, very few.
These days he would have to be more plain:
“The enemy is in the bushes…”
