Jed and done?

X Factor stars Jedward are in danger of becoming one hit wonders. The Irish twins have reportedly been dropped by their record company.

John and Edward Grimes were signed by Sony earlier this year. But their first track Under Pressure, featuring US rapper Vanilla Ice, only made it to number two, then dropped to number 12 the following week.

Simon Cowell grew to like the so-called novelty act when they appeared on The X Factor, but did not sign them to his Syco label. He did, however give runner-up Olly Murs a contract.

The duo's mentor Louis Walsh maintains that the 18-year-olds have a great career ahead. He said: "I'm completely committed to Jedward."

He added: "The boys have a sell-out tour in Ireland straight after The X Factor Tour in April and I'm in talks with a major record label about a new deal for them."
