Jason Reitman Is Directing A New “Ghostbusters”

The “Ghostbusters” movies have always supported the theory of multiple dimensions. That’s only fitting, because Jason Reitman’s new entry into the beloved series has nothing to do with the 2016 Paul Feig reboot of the franchise. In fact, it takes place in a different timeline completely.

Reitman announced that he’d be taking the mantle of director on the new film, after his father, Ivan Reitman, directed the first movie back in 1984.

In this film, the all-female reboot is completely ignored. The events of Reitman’s “Ghostbusters” will follow the original timeline.
