He gets on the booze train on Fridays
He works hard for the rest of the week
He comes home drunk and offensive
nothing about him is meek
he shouts off his mouth without thinking
who can think with a brain full of beer
Trying to reason and calm him
falls of a drunken deaf ear
He ruins his chance of a future
with the woman who bore his two girls
one a new born baby
the other with long hair and curls
His daughter says Daddy should go away
He makes Mummy cry and her scared
She says if he loved them he'd listen
He would stop drinking if he really cared
The drinking is making him crazy
the drinking will send him insane
His daughter says Mummy it's Friday
Is Daddy on the booze train again
