Jane Van Doe - Split
3 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
And painted half my face
Then cut my silhouette in two
I stood a different race
A line shot down my middle
That sawed my thoughts in two
I moved one eye from left to right
And ask it ‘who are you’
It spoke no words
But ran astray, pulling me along
Toward my demise with each new step
Knowing it was strong
I fought against this hell bent strength
As deeper down it pulled
Dragging toward an unknown depth
This soul of mine it ruled
I prayed to God to hear me
But only heard a laugh
A wicked sneer pulled at my lips
I felt this Satan’s wrath
With one chance left to save myself
From what I know is me
I’ll tie a stone about my neck
And leap into the sea.
