Jane Meyer - Hormones

Teenagers are awkward.
Why is that?
Do you believe it’s our ‘’hormones’’?
Or is some other place, where the problem’s at?

I happen to think it’s elsewhere.
But maybe that’s because I <i>am</i> a teen,
and I have these ‘’hormones’’
that are making me not as keen.

I think that we’re awkward
because we don’t have a place in society.
We can’t be ignorant as children.
But for adults, we haven’t the right propriety.

We’re only ever not awkward,
when we’re with others like us.
So I don’t think it’s <i>our</i> ‘’hormones’’
that are causing all the fuss.
