James Mullaney - The Nativity
0 Views • Jun 16, 2014
Description
A fireball herald proclaimed amaze
To sheepmen, magi, and rangers above
Who offered turtledoves of tender praise
To Love's Light. Frances Cabrini, Mother,
Found light in the poor cadaverous girls
Of Codogno. In her eyes, what other
Than vigil light sparkled those priceless pearls?
Have you forsaken sleigh rides? Make amends!
Sing carols and drink eggnog and get mirth.
A nephew and niece, good and godly friends,
Repay with light the tender mercied earth.
The Christ is the Light Who gives light to all;
The light children give us is light, withal.
James Mullaney
