James L Comerford - sail
0 Views • Nov 07, 2014
Description
just something somebody wrote,
A few lines not very profound,
A tale of a chap and his sailing boat,
About the wind in his hair,
And the ebb and the flow,
Off the tides of his life,
The fact that perhaps he should have taken a wife
No children to share
No cross to bear
Just an open sea heading nowhere
his thoughts were shrouded by a mist,
the echos of his mother voice
telling him he had the choice,
to break the chains that bound him down,
or to carry on answering to his fathers fist,
a scream erupted from deep within
its time to to discover what might have been
so he took to the sea with no cross to bear
just an open sea heading nowhere
seeking someone to share
Thirty years later our man stood alone
He had found no wife to enhance his life
His thoughts were hazy and unclear
His existence wasted
The life he craved the passion he sought
Was just another passing thought
There is no moral or end to this tale
Our man still lives in his solitude
His mind is closed his lust has vanished
All he has is his Loneliness and a boat in which to sail
