Jake Deeds - Water Ballet

The line sailed through the air in reconnaissance
and somewhat suspended above the noise of silence
depositing its' offering only to be declined
Rejection, again, and again, and again
Like a typewriter refusing to go no further the right
demanding satisfaction from the very fingers that brought it to life
But then, just then…….. the present mirroring the former
signals as the water erupts in unequal portions
and the bottom compresses, thrusting the magnificence in the air
for a brief moment….
only to leave visions of a limp lateral line….
