Jake Andrews - Open Heart Surgery

I'm letting the scalpel draw across my chest
And letting the blood flow out my veins
Sitting on the table and I'm wide awake
Watching your hands reach in and grab my heart

I'm trying to forget but its too hard
Cutting away the pieces that remind me
Just take the whole thing out its easier
Cant feel it when its gone they say

I was given no drug to make me numb
And even thinking about the surgery hurts a bit
Now the liquor is flowing down my neck
But i cant afford enough to make me forget

Sacrifice me to the Aztec gods of love
My heart wasn't mine so you've takein it back
The scalpel started clean and sharp
There was too much heart, now its filthy and dull
