You got dark
eye-
liner
Pasted around you globe-trotting eyes,
But you haven't gone anywhere
yet.

You got so much ground
Behind you,
But you haven't known
the tearing,
scratching,
scraping of
the Earth -
yet.

You got so much
To gain,
So long to

fall,
Winded
Into my trembling arms.
But can I hold you up?

I got so much
To learn.
