Gently down white snow drifts once again
Crystals that float so light
Bob Robin searches food in vain
It will be a cold cold night.

Tall trees spread out their finger sticks
Adorned in snowflakes bright
Bob Robin spots the bird food mix
It will be a cold cold night.

Bobby Redbreast pecks out seed and nuts
I watch in pure delight
A scarlet gash a crimson cut
It will be a cold cold night.

Three Blackbirds forage berries high
To scurry off in flight
Flapping into polka-dot skies
It will be a cold cold night.

Dark skeletal trees white quilt of snow
Pond water frozen tight
Freezing wind cuts a northern blow
It will be a cold cold night.
