Jacqueline Nash - My Shadow Stalker

My shadow is my stalker,
following me everywhere I go,
it always travels with me,
in the wind, rain, sun and snow.

My shadow is my stalker
it copies everything I do,
when I dance along the street
my shadow dances too.

My shadow is my stalker
sometimes I think it's gone away
but it will suddenly show itself again
in a bold and showy way.

My shadow is my stalker
and it's always changing size,
it will show itself in front, behind
and sometimes at my sides.

My shadow is my stalker
I ask "Why do you follow me"?
I know it will never give an answer
but will carry on following silently.

My shadow is my stalker,
but should I really not presume,
could I be my shadows stalker also,
I wonder, who is following whom?
