Jackie Trujillo - Need a Change

This illusion of reality needs to stop
I need to quit, stop and just concentrate
Priorities need a change
Self-restraint obviously isn’t working
Forgetful now, hurting the ones I love
Giving up everything for the time to escape
While I’m gone money means nothing
By the time I come back it’s all gone
The only things I end up with
Are a few good laughs, and empty pockets
I’m happier in reality I’m growing up,
And I want to remember my life
Forgetting things all the time isn’t fun
And I regret all that I’ve done
This poem is a reminder to myself
Why I’m quitting now
I want everyone to know that
I will fulfill this vow.
