Keep calm, and hear the voice of the married woman
Who is battered and bruised each night
By her once-loving husband who promised her heaven.

Pay attention and you will hear the voice of the woman
Who has an untold story buried in her chest
Waiting to be told

The voice of every woman
Who cries to sleep each night on the pillow
She smiles like nothing is wrong

Smiles because she is on set
And the cameras are on her
But behind the scenes I can see a tear
Playing at the corner of her eye

A voice so broken but audible still
The voice of every young woman whose dream
Of a 'happy ever after' has been deferred
