Jack Shaka - She has Seen it All

Do not be surprised
When she does not respond
To your cries of despair
She has been there

Do not be shocked
When she doesn’t grieve
Or cry in funerals
Do not be angered
By her expressions today
or even tomorrow
Her face
It has seen it all
She has seen it all

She watched her husband die
Her children die
She has watched many die
Has consoled many through time
Has sang dirges and read eulogies
She just cant weep no more
Cant cry no more
Cant mourn no more
She has seen it all

She has seen death many times
Death has challenged her many times
Many times
She has survived

Much earlier
When death was new to her
She broke down
Now
She never breaks down
She knows it passes
She always knows
She has seen it all

She can not be blamed
For being like that
Life has made her like that
To witness it all
She has seen it all
