Jack Growden - What Is A Week?

Often I ask myself - though it hurts -
If true love is what I seek
Why do I worry, rather than wait?
After all, what is a week?

Vast torrents of thoughts plague each second
And leave me gasping for air.
Cruelly, they taunt me with quick flashes
Of tears, laughter and smooth hair.

As hard as I try I cannot stop
Thinking my chance is behind -
Gone with the sparrows and winds alike…
Or dreamt up lone by my mind?

Either way, though it wrenches and aches
While I pray to hear you speak,
Is there a need to worry at all
When with youth, what is a week?
