J.B. LeBuert - Winter Texans
1 Views • Nov 10, 2014
Description
They come to south Texas to play and to feed.
The ones that I've met are great lovers of the sun.
They tan most every day and are great fun.
I'm here with my brother and friend, named Craig.
He's there for everything, and you never have to beg.
He brought me here from further up north,
And I'll be back again next November fourth.
I guess that now I'm a winter Texan too?
That's not a bad thing for me or for you.
Florida is nice and good for some,
But I'd rather be here, and a beach bum.
All in all, these are really great folks.
I love to get together and trade old jokes.
Most of us are retired and getting old.
Experience is worth something, or so I am told?
They come in their campers of all sizes.
They're full of fun and bring some surprises.
I've already met some that I'll never forget.
On this you can lay money, or any size bet.
My heart goes out to these wonderful guys,
Trying to get by, under the clear blue skies.
My life has changed by being down here,
If I had to leave now, I'd shed a tear.
