What do you do
When you know
You are not
Who you are supposed to be?
When you are
Somebody
You don’t want to be?
And that nothing
You can do
Can change who
You are meant to be?
Isn’t it sad
To be trapped
In a destiny you don’t want?
That you are
A prisoner
Of life
And that
The only freedom
You can have
Is when you die?
How can you fulfill
Your heart’s desires
If you can’t
Even start
The destiny you are fated?
That after the struggle
You will end up
When a dream that you do not dream,
A hope that you do not hope
A success you do not crave.
A life of fulfillment
Yet meaningless,
A life
Only realized
After death?
