What is it that we’re told?
That love is a feeling,
That love is something to hold,
That love is heart beating?

What is it that we’re told?
That love is what’s right,
That love burns hot, not cold,
That love is passion in night?

What is it that we’re told?
That love is burning desire,
That any can fit in the mold,
That love is a raging fire?

Well, here is what it is,
Love is a choice.
Choosing to cherish
And always to rejoice
