The crows assemble: Ominously,
what does this gathering presage?
They do come fortuitously.
They can foresee the battle rage.
When foolish men kill other men
for reasons crows don’t understand.
The crows will gladly feast again
on corpses strewn across the land.
Crows will scavenge the battlefield
as they have done since time began.
A privilege they will not yield,
It is their right to dine on man.
They wait in patience, without haste
The crows won’t let the fresh meat waste.
