ivor .e hogg - Needles in Haystacks

I can’t complain my aging brain,
still works as near as I can tell
Although sometimes I cannot gain
access to memories as well
as I could in my younger days.
But then what need have I for speed.
My mind prefers more leisurely ways,
which may be slow but they succeed
in their own way eventually.
The fact I want is stored away
sometimes it seems haphazardly.
Exactly how I cannot say.
Perhaps lack of capacity
produces inefficiency.
