Who am I to criticise
what seems correct in others eyes.
Though I despise such bigotry.
Some think they have the right to be
the sole arbiters of good taste.

Professing Christianity
intolerant of others views.
Allowing no disparity
Denying us the right to choose,
they demonstrate they are two faced.

They are entitled to their views.
Of that their can be no dispute.
But other folks hold other views
What they believe, what they refute.
I find I have no time to waste.

On bigots convinced only they
should have the right to criticise.
That their way is the only way
they are all knowing and all wise.
All other views must be replaced.

You have the right to disagree
and state your beliefs openly.
Which we accept impartially
But bigots view intolerantly
and take offence with undue haste.

They claim divine authority
for everything they say and do.
Incapable of charity
their own beliefs they can't review
They cannot see they’re Janus faced.

I can forgive their ignorance.
Their rigidity I tolerate
I do not know their circumstance,
therefore I do not remonstrate.
Although I think their faith misplaced.
