In an unprecedented move, Australia on Monday (March 11) axed Vice-captain Shane Watson and three other key players from the side for the third Test against India for failing to obey team management orders, giving a shocking twist to their already disastrous tour. Watson along with fast bowlers James Pattinson, Mitchell Johnson and back-up batsman Usman Khawaja, were axed from the team for failing to make a presentation on how to improve their personal as well as the team's performance after the heavy defeat in the second Test in Hyderabad. Hours after the decision, miffed Watson left for home and is now contemplating quitting Test cricket.
