Italy scientist gets Einstein sums wrong and quits

An Italian professor who thought he had disproved Einstein's Theory of Relativity has resigned after it turned out he had not.

Antonio Ereditato appeared to challenge one of the fundamentals of modern physics by showing particles moving faster than the speed of light.

The CERN research centre in Geneva where the experiment was based later said they'd got their calculations wrong.
