Italy Earthquake

A strong earthquake struck a mountainous stretch of central Italy early Wednesday, killing at least 73 people, trapping scores under debris and setting off tremors that awakened residents in Rome, nearly 100 miles to the southwest.
The magnitude 6.2 earthquake struck at 3:36 a.m., about 6.5 miles southeast of the town of Norcia in the Umbria region.

The earth continues to shake followed by about 200 aftershocks so far: another violent tremor , with a magnitude of 4.9 , it was felt in the early afternoon sparking panic . The strongest quake , with a magnitude of 6.2 , took place at 3:36 am with its epicenter near Accumoli ( Rieti ) ; a second magnitude 5.4 was recorded at 4.33 am with its epicenter in Norcia ( Perugia ) and Castelsantangelo sul Ner.

After shocks expected for days, Army has been mobilized.
