IT dept continue raids in Purti scam

The Income Tax department is conducting field survey at 8 locations related to the Purti scam case in Mumbai. Sources say the exercise is a continuation of the earlier searches which were carried out by IT in connection with the case. Significantly the searches come a day ahead of Nitin Gadkari filing his nomination for BJP president post. Gadkari's role is under the scanner in the case. He has sought time till 1st Feb to appear before the IT Nagpur office.
