Israh Sadan - A Global Marriage

They lie in oposite hemispheres of the bed.
Silently scared in the East
And stubbornly asleep in the West
And in between them
Lies the continent of Africa
Wide and cruel.

They may on occassion
forge into the wild,
where safaris are always
Hot and Enjoyable.

They may even at times linger
till the new light of day
warms the mist away
to opposite shores
and individual chores,

Only to return at night
to the East and to the West
were they lie face to face,
between them a vast, pregnant space.
Too stubborn and too scared
on opposite sides of the bed.
