Ismail: Party has the final say
Description
Dewan Rakyat Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said being eligible to contest does not mean an 18 year-old can automatically become a candidate.
Ismail, who is Umno’s vice-president, said it is still up to the party to endorse the person’s candidacy.
However, he said the door is open for the eighteen year-old to stand in the election.
