Ishrat File Revelations

A response under RTI has revealed that the first draft of government affidavit which claimed that Ishrat Jahan was linked to the Lashkar-e-Taiba at the time of her encounter, was actually approved by the Former HM - P Chidambaram. This revelation punctures Chidambaram's earlier argument that he had not approved the affidavit, and was subsequently changed to remove Ishrat Jahan's alleged link with the terrorist organisation LeT.
