Isabella Francis - Butterfly
3 Views • Jun 17, 2014
Description
Slowly landing on it and kissing it lovingly.
Her purple wings fluttered supple
Singing a melody although muffled.
I looked at her, enchanted, enthralled
She hadn't even seen me, yet what a spell she cast.
On a canvas of purple, she bore a yellow and red mosaic
Tiny feet, petite body, delicate wings bringing awe in her wake.
Her brown eyes met mine and searched me thoroughly,
She took off and landed on my wrist swiftly.
She is as weightless as air
Her touch is soft as feather, full of care.
She looked in my eyes again, searching my soul
In a second she knew me and took my sisters role.
We felt a connection more than just physical
I was intense yet mild, easy yet difficult.
We shared love, happiness, worries and sympathy
Looking into each other's eyes trying to find infinity.
What we share is so sacred and pure
For all our wounds we are the cure.
She looked at me one last time and gently flew away
I realized later, we were to meet every day.
We, the inseparables are separated by our worlds,
Yet we connect on a deeper level as time unfurls.
We meet daily and share our laughs and cries,
She becomes human and I turn into a butterfly.
