Never far away
Seconds and minutes away
Hours and days away
Weeks and months away
Years and tears away
It is sad time away

It comes as sad as it could
Anytime, anywhere, anyhow
Giving you a new identity
An orphan, a widow, a widower
An ex-convict, a sacked worker
It is sad in all colours

Sad times reminds
Of happy times filled with smiles
Of names in the afterlife
Of in-fights out of triviality
Of bickering out of insanity
Of happiness in sadness
