In recent NBA news, Point Guard Marcus Smart and the Boston Celtics have agreed to a four-year extension worth $77.1 million that will keep in Boston through the 2025-26 season. Smart is considered a key piece of the Celtics core, specifically "the heart and soul" and defense anchor of the Celtics for numerous seasons. Although there has been mixed reports about his standing with the team this offseason. Last year, the 27-year-old set career highs for a season with scoring (13.1 points per game) and assists (5.7) in 48 games.
