Is It Poetry - please forgive me!

You open my arms, so wide
coming home, pruning as you do
the pace of the sun, keeps up with you.
I even in my new found youth
come to watch the squirrels at play
and to dance
they dance up and down the tree
heavy their cheeks full of nuts.
While night comes too quickly,
The moon white and full and bright
please forgive me-
my dreams of you, always full!
