Is buying a cheap or second hand lens a good idea? Well I picked up an old manual lens from a second hand shop and gave it a test. You will find that older camera lenses, even the cheap ones, are as good or better quality than the kit lens that comes with your DSLR so it’s worth keeping an eye out on second hand shops and boot fairs for your film making equipment.
