Irina Whitford - Silent Scream

I think I must be dreaming?
I hear the ticking of the clock
I can hear somebody screaming
Could this be a mental block?
Oh no!
I hear some footsteps
They're coming down the hall
I wrap myself more tightly
Trying to blend in with the wall.
In my mind I'm begging
No go! Just leave me PLEASE!
But no one even hears me
As I hear the sound of keys...
Turning in the lock
As slowly the door opens, this reveals another shock...
But closer he keeps coming near
I hold my breath - but not my tears
This silent lucidity will not stop the fears
Of what i know will come.
