Amid viral claims that an Iranian missile hit Dubai, officials have clarified that Palm Jumeirah was not directly struck.

During retaliatory missile activity involving Iran, UAE air defence systems were activated over Dubai after aerial threats were detected. Footage circulating online shows interceptor systems engaging targets over waters near Palm Jumeirah.

Authorities confirmed that debris from intercepted projectiles fell into the area, igniting a fire inside a building at Fairmont The Palm. The fire led to widespread speculation that the hotel had been hit by a missile.

Officials state that four people were injured and the fire has since been brought under control. Investigations are ongoing, and security remains heightened across the UAE.
