Description

This is a U.S. spy drone captured in Iran.
Iran's military says it shot down the drone on December 4 over the eastern part of the country, but the U.S. says the craft likely suffered a malfunction.
U.S. President Barack Obama has asked for the drone to be returned but has not said whether it could compromise national security.
During a news conference Tuesday, Iran said the U.S. should apologise for sending the unmanned plane.
(SOUNDBITE)(Farsi) IRANIAN FOREIGN MINISTRY SPOKESMAN RAMIN MEHMANPARAST, SAYING:
"The United States of America needs to know that what it has done in violation of Iranian air space is a measure that can endanger global security and peace. The responsibilities and implications of this need to be accepted."
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad told Venezuelan TV that Iran is studying the plane.
Tensions between Iran and the West are already high amid tightened economic sanctions over Iran's nuclear program.
