Iran's Nuclear Bomb Capabilities

According to experts briefed on the intelligence information due to be released in this week's report by the United Nations' International Atomic Energy Agency, Iran has already acquired the knowledge, technology, and resources to create a nuclear bomb within months. According to the experts, Iranian scientists acquired the knowledge with the help of weapons scientists from Russia, Pakistan and North Korea. Former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice has said she is sure the Israelis will defend themselves against the Iranians if they were to reach nuclear capabilities. Rice told Newsmax in a TV interview "I don't have any doubt that the Israelis will defend themselves if the Iranians look as if they really are about to cross that nuclear threshold," Rice maintained that pressure on Iran must continue in order to prevent an Israeli attack. Russia's foreign minister warned on Monday that any military strike against Iran would be a grave mistake with unpredictable consequences. Russia, the closest thing Iran has to a big power ally, is deeply opposed to any military action against the Islamic Republic, though Moscow has supported United Nations Security Council sanctions against Iran over its nuclear program.
